Lunch Box

My sister called me this morning and asked if we wanted to go to some Parents As Teachers meet-up and we had about 45 minutes to get ready. We really tried to be ready on time but didn't quite make it. Everyone was dressed but Aubrey still had to finish eating and I had to get everyone in the car, which is a process in itself. Since we were up and ready to go somewhere we decided to go to the Mills. The kids love it there because they have a big play area and I love it because you can usually get some pretty good deals on some cute stuff.

After looking at Old Navy, where I found a cute outfit and some shoes for Aubrey, we were on the way to the check out and Emily spotted some of those metal lunch boxes, and of course, just had to have one. The first one she picked out was a Hello Kitty one....this one rang up $10, so back we went to find one that was on clearance. She ended up picking a Dots one that was pretty cute. Needless to say, she is now obsessed with it.

After we left Old Navy we stopped at Starbucks to get some hot water to heat up Aubrey's bottle.....and a coffee for me. While I was feeding Aubrey she insisted on filling up her lunch box....ya know....in case she gets hungry.

This was what Noah was doing off and on while I was feeding Aubrey and Emily was filling her lunch box:

Obviously he was not a happy camper. He was mad because I put him in the stroller after he tried to take a milk from Starbucks and then ran away from me when I tried to get it back and then he totally freaked out and was throwing himself on the floor and acting quite embarrassing. So I strapped him in the stroller until he could calm down. It took awhile for him to settle down but he finally did and stayed in the stroller for the rest of the time.
Since Noah was being so good in the stroller I didn't want to take him out. I decided to put Aubrey in the back where Noah usually sits. She looked pretty funny back there but seemed to enjoy it and actually fell asleep a couple of times.

So, other than Noah's freak out, it was a pretty fun day. The kids got to play in the play area and I got to shop...win/win!
