Let it Snow!

We actually got a decent amount of snow this time, about 5 inches total. Of course the kids have been dying to play in it since it started snowing yesterday. So I loaded them up today and off we went to Ya-Ya's to go sledding with the cousins.

After about thirty minutes of stuffing them in their gear...the were finally ready.

Poor Noah could barely walk....he reminded me of that kid in the Christmas Story...."I can't put my arms down!" He was all excited to go out but he pretty much hated it after he was out there.

We got him to go down the hill on the sled once and then he was done.

She was so proud of herself that she could go down all alone.




We saw a recipe for Snow Ice Cream on the news this morning and decided to try it. There is not much to it: 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of milk and a teaspoon of vanilla extract.

The kids said it was yummy...but I think they would have been just as happy to eat the plain snow.

Even Aubrey got to try some. The jury's still out on whether or not she liked it but the kids had fun feeding it to her.

We had a great day hanging with the cousins and playing in the snow but.....I'm ready for some warmer weather!
